Fuck I'm lazy.
Naw, the truth is that I've been busy as fuck lately.  I had a great night last night at The Cottage where Jorge Gavidia, former Black Lotus guitarist, was hosting a Monday night blues jam.  Dilly was on drums through out the night and I went up to sing a few songs and to jam on my harmonica.  I blew the dust off of the old 'Marine Band', and was surprised at the amount of playing I was able to recall after not 'playing' the harmonica for a very, very long time.

Shout outs to Anvil for being such an awesome band.  I'm pretty sure I saw Robb Reiner at Best Buy :).

We have a show at The Vatikan once again on Jan 8th!  This is going to be an awesome show so make absolutly sure that you'll be there!  Unfortunatly, Anvil won't be playing this time.

Da Kathedral
The lack of updates just proves how badly I need someone to help me with the site.  I didn't even write anything on here about our last show at the Kathedral.  That's how bad the situation is!  If they'res anybody out there willing to give me a hand please let me know.  By the way the show went well.  We had a good performance and we wanna give a shout out to the Crack Band who played an awesome set aswell..

Battle of the Bands!

Just a quick reminder that this Friday is our big show at the Opera House.  Anyone interested in attending must let us know by Thursday.  Thursday is the last day to buy tickets so make sure to get in touch with one of us as soon as possible.  The show is expected to be very good and I am hoping not only that we get a good spot, but that the other bands are good as well.

Battle of the Bands!
Well the show at The Opera House went fairly well!  We happened to achieve the 'dark' spot of fourth place which is good to know, so as to keep our spirits up.  It was definatly the best performance we have had at the Opera House.  We all know how tough it is to place at the Opera House.  The bands that did win, however, were very good and I congradulate them on their victory.  Unfortunatly I do not have any pics from the show but maybe a willing fan will hand some over to me.  Thanks to all of those who came out to support us and I hope to see you again at one of our future shows!

Now that I think about it a willing fan did send me some pics.  Thanks
Dominika.  You can check them out in our pictures page.

This coming weekend, Feb 18th, we are having our first show ever, out of Toronto.  Yes we are hitting the dungeon up in Oshawa.  It should be a great experiance and I hope all goes well.

Be prepared to witness a change in the layout of our site.  A very nice friend of Mike's is going to help us revamp this site.  I'm really greatful as it will be the first time someone actually helps me out here.  Thanks a lot Joel!  Can't wait to see the result.
Oshawa baby!
Well our show at The Dungeon was very pleasing.  We played with some totally awesome bands and met some really cool people like the guys from Maraxus.  We'd like to say thanks to Zaed and Supernova for providing us with such a pleasant experiance.  I don't think I have any pics from the show but we did make a video out of it.  If I'm lucky enough to obtain some free time (which is very unlikely) I will make an attempt at putting some of it online.
March 6th marks Black Lotus' return to Club Rockit.  We haven't been there for a while, still.  We will be playing with Joykamp which apparently, is a well established band from BC.  We are also playing with our old chums 'Empty Chamber' whom we always have a great show with.  We played our last Opera House show and Halloween show with these guys and they are pretty good.  We are selling tickets for the show so make sure to get a hold of your nearest band member to purchase one.  It will be an awesome show so I hope to see ya'll there.
Hopefully, by the end of the night tonight, I will have posted the pics from our last Opera House show on the site.  Yes the very ones that Dominika sent me.  Check em' out and leave a message!

Happy Easter!!!
I'm sorry I haven't been updating as often as I ought to.  School has got me by the balls.  Luckily, I am almost finished this year so I am extremely happy about that.  I do plan to do a lot of work on the site as soon as I get some more time on my hands.
I have quite a few new pics in my pc somewhere which I hope to upload to the site sometime soon.  They are from our last two shows.  One set is from our show in Oshawa, Ontario and the other is from our very last show here in Toronto.  I'll try to post atleast some by the end of the night so make sure to keep checking back.

Our first show at The Docks!
Check out the flyer I have posted next to this message.  It's from our next show which will be happening on April 16th at The Docks!!  This show is expected to be a truely awesome show and may very well be Black Lotus' best show up to date.  We will be opening up for Social Code and Blue Skies at War.  It is an all day festival starting at 1pm and ending at about 11pm.  If you ever wanna come see us play you should make this the date.  The band members are selling tickets so you'd have to get in touch with us to purchase some.  The tickets are $20 which may be a bit pricey but it's worth it considering that only the best young indie bands will be playing with some great headliners.  We have played with many of the bands on the bill before and they are all really good.  We're particularly glad to be sharing the stage with Empt Chamber and are good buddies Maraxus.  Please give the show a try as it is going to be awesome.
March 27th 2005
Hello, hello.  It has been, like, forever since I have written in this website.  I must admit, it feels good to finally do so again.  Thankfully, we, the band, have been well.  We're still jamming, still playing shows, still writing music, still recording every once in a while, and, ofcoarse, still partying.  Those are the elements that make Black Lotus, Black Lotus.  If any one of those elements are missing, Black Lotus cannot be Black Lotus.

We are very glad to announce that we are playing two very good shows in the month of March.  The first show is taking place at the Reverb on Mar 5th.  It is in conjunction with Canadian Music Week and HotBoxxx promotions.  I have added an unofficial flyer which I created with the help of my dear cousin Naomi.  Our second show is taking place on Mar 15th at the Docks.  This show is being hosted by Supernova.  We were hooked up by Rami.  It is going to be one of our best shows yet.  Please, try not to miss either show.  They are very important and we require as much support as we can get.
